Probate laws in Missouri?

Needing general information regarding the probate laws in the state of Missouri. My husband's mother passed away on the 18th. Her husband of the last 9 years has basically shut us out and even ignored calls from us. He has not opened the estate, but we were advised by an attorney to file to open the estate and have my husband appointed as the representative of the estate. Any information on this process would be greatly appreciated.

What happens Next with Inheritance?

Some people in my family are wondering cause none of us really know. But what happened was my Grandma passed away and left us each an equal sum of money. She was in a nursing home so had no assets. Her Will was layed out very strictly. She had a trust fund at a bank. Friday her daughter went to the bank and said everything was done. So what next? Do we receive a check by mail or what? When I tried looking it up I kept getting something about probate...IDK. Thank you to anyone who knows.

My mothers will is not being followed by the court?

My mothers will has been done away with and said was invalid due to fail to contact me or my family members. The lawyer failed to contact anyone by my knowing and he also knew that the family is currently arguing and not talking. He took it to court and said that we were nonnegotiable and he could not contact this. The only reason this was found out was because I went to another lawyer and he said i needed to get the probate file and when i went to get it it was already in court that very day. Please help i need to know if there is anything i can do to get the will reinstated

my father passed away a couple months ago i now in order for me to cash any checks that r payable to his estate they say i might been to sign a bond of indemnity rather then have the will sent to probate does anyone out there know what a bond of indemnity is and how long it takes

Yes, but it's gong to take a few years to clear the decks of the albatross contracts and the remnants of the 2008 debacle, which this team has never quite recovered from. They still have some good arms in the minors despite being raped by Tampa in the Garza deal (yes, Hendry absolutely must go - I would have fired him after signing Milton Bradley). I don't think Quade is the long term guy so they need both a new GM and manager, and that manager should be Ryno. It's really too bad MLB doesn't like Mark Cuban, because he would have straightened this operation out unlike the milquetoast Ricketts. Why isn't anyone challenging herman cain on his tax ideas?

He advocates a "fair tax". It is not a fair tax like what Ron Paul has talked about where everyone would pay a set amount. He instead sets it at 23% rate and offers probates for low income families. This means that low income families wil pay no taxes, just like in the current system. The problem is that right now the top earners pay something like 39%. His proposal would drop that tax rate down to 23%. That is a massive tax break for the rich, without any plan to make up that lost revenue. I support Ron Paul, but I Am not above listening to new ideas. Cain's plan however seems to just replace the IRS with a system that does the exact same thing but taxes the wealthiest by about 40% less. I am all for lower taxes for everyone, but his plan looks like disaster. Why is no one calling him out for it?
