Do you think the Chicago Cubs have a future?
Yes, but it's gong to take a few years to clear the decks of the albatross contracts and the remnants of the 2008 debacle, which this team has never quite recovered from. They still have some good arms in the minors despite being raped by Tampa in the Garza deal (yes, Hendry absolutely must go - I would have fired him after signing Milton Bradley). I don't think Quade is the long term guy so they need both a new GM and manager, and that manager should be Ryno. It's really too bad MLB doesn't like Mark Cuban, because he would have straightened this operation out unlike the milquetoast Ricketts. Maybe they'll realize they're not cut out for this and sell to a more proactive owner.
