What are grandparents rights in CT?

My daughters father committed suicide in Oct of 2010. When he died his mother opened a bank account in my daughters name, She also kept everything he left. He did not have a will and no one went through probate. My daughter has a very rare syndrome and needs lots of extra care, which in turn leaves me jobless because of all the time I need to take off. I wrote the grandmother a letter asking for the info to the bank account and to tell her we want the items that my daughters father left so they could be sold and the money could go to my daughter where it belongs. I have not heard from her or anyone in her family since Thanksgiving. Now it is April and she is taking me to court for visitation to see my daughter. She has not asked to me face to face( Phone, email, Text) to see her ever! No one in the family has contacted me at all to see this child. Or ask if she has everything she needs seeings how child support wasn't paid for two months before my daughters father's passing. What are my rights in keeping this woman from seeing my daughter? My daughter has breathing problems and this woman smokes three packs a day inside her home and car. Please help.....
